Proctor Silex Toaster Ovenbr /Model # 31145br /Series # C5240BRbr /br /br /We bought our Toaster Oven at Walmart, Kelowna, BC approximately 6 months ago (cannot locate out receipt for confirmation). Right from the get-go it never toasted well (we would have to put the setting on the darkest and then run our bread throught TWICE. Even then it would just get hard and dry rather than toasted). Now it doesn't even warm up. First the bottom element went, now both are gone. We are very disappointed in our purchase. We thought with a name like Proctor Silex we were buying a quality product, one that would last AT LEAST a year! We paid good money, thinking if we bought a brand name product it would be worth the extra few dollars. WRONG.

Actually the exterior of this toaster oven is hot but it's OK for me. The temperature is not accurate neither. I have to cut it down about 35 degree and the cooking time should be cut 10-25 min. if I use the "bakefan" function. There is no timer for auto stop. br / After all these, it can bake nice pizza and bread from my home-make dough. It can reheat any leftover. It can bake almost everything better than my big GE oven. br / Once I mistakenly baked 6 cups dough of bread and it came out so nice that I keep baking bread in this little oven. Of course, I know I 'd better to do the 4 cups dough. Since the bake time cut down so much with the convection function.....it cooks so fast and use much less electric energy. The most important thing is that the bread taste so good! A bit crust outside and soft well done inside.br / I never use this for toaster since I have a toaster already. I only use this one for slices bread top with the cheese and ham. It is great.br / For the meat and fish baking, it bake evenly too.br / If it is not hot surface, I will give this toaster oven 5 stars. I know most toaster ovens normally have hot surface. So I don't really complain that much. [...]....so the price is even lower than I asked for. Very good deal for it can do so much! Now I hope it can last long for I use it everyday.

Awesome Oven for Dorm Room! - MedGurl -
I got this oven a few weeks ago, and wow, am I impressed! On top of getting it for a great price, this large size oven comes with a rotisserie, broil pan, a cookie sheet and 2 racks. So far I've used it to bake chicken, a whole large frozen pizza, croissants, and a few other dishes. It's a bit larger than your average toaster oven, but with all it does, I don't mind the extra size since I don't have an actual oven. br /Only downsides are that like most toaster/countertop ovens the exterior gets hot; and the food near the door doesn't bake/brown at the same rate (I just turned the food midway), but it's not a huge difference anyway. br /br /Excellent substitute oven for a door room or small apt!

I am pleased with this purchase. I love the way that it frees up the oven. I also love the fact that I can take it to other family member's homes and cook in it without having to use their ovens. Clean up is a breeze. The baking is excellent and quicker than the oven and the even distribution of heat is great. My only negative comment is that I didn't feel like the breast meat was any more moist than the oven. I didn't do a brine or anything and I cooked a butterball turkey breast side up. I think you really need to follow the suggestion of the people who promote cooking breast side down. I am going to try that next time. Also, this oven can cook lots of things, not just turkey. I have a feeling that it has a lot of potential. After all, I have only used it once so far. I think it has the potential for really moist white meat. I just need to work with it a bit more.

I entertain a lot and enjoy cooking so this was a great improvement and time saver in my kitchen. I prefer the surround heat in this unit to the radiant heat of a standard oven. I've prepared several dishes (roasting, brazing, frying and just plain baking) already and now waiting for a good excuse to do a turkey and prime rib roast. It is easy to clean and easy to store. br /This is a quality piece of equipment, and a good value. Found out at Christmas that I needed another oven to roast my prime rib roast. Only had one oven what was I to do. My neighbor brought over her Nesco roaster and solved the problem. We roasted the prime rib roast in the roaster and it came out perfect! Soon I went online and order one for myself. How did I ever manage without it!!!!!

I bought the Petite Showtime Rotisserie based on my positive experience with a full sized Showtime Rotisserie which I have been happily using for almost four years. br /br /Unfortunately, at best, I can only give this particular model one star.br /br /For starters, the glass door sticks when trying to put it away underneath the oven for storage. When pulling it out to use it, the door cocks sideways and jams because the plastic slides have such a sloppy fit. br /br /Installing the turning rod with the basket attached was yet another exercise in frustration and to say I almost lost my religion and turned the air blue after at least a dozen tries would be putting it mildly. br /br /Once I finally got the basket and turning rod installed, I roasted three hot dogs for seven minutes as a test. However, while the hot dogs came out absolutely perfect, I'm not sure they were worth the trouble.br /br /The unit is about the size of a large toaster oven and, unlike its bigger sibling, fits nicely on my counter top. The roasting basket, on the other hand, is very tiny and will only hold two pieces of meat if each one is the size of a deck of cards. But a couple of full size pork chops, hamburgers or salmon fillets? No way!br /br /Because of its size, the Petite Showtime Rotisserie cooks faster than my bigger model. But when it comes to ease of use and sloppy manufacturing quality, as evidenced by the trouble with the glass door and the difficulty installing the basket and turning rod, it leaves much to be desired. br /br /I had been thinking of giving the Petite Showtime Rotisserie to family members as Christmas presents because it certainly is cute. But handsome is as handsome does and this particular model, unlike my large Showtime Rotisserie, just doesn't measure up. br /br /br /br /
